Welcome to the City of Lebanon’s Special Census!
Count Lebanon – You Count!
The City of Lebanon is conducting a special count of all city residents to ensure we get our fair share of state tax dollars. Every Lebanon citizen is important, and we don’t want to miss anyone!
The State of Tennessee funds local governments like the City of Lebanon based on the reported population, which is based on the last Federal census. Lebanon has experienced tremendous growth recently, however the next Federal census will not occur until 2020. That means all of the funding the City of Lebanon is eligible for will NOT come back to our community.
Please help your community by promoting this effort to count EVERYONE in Lebanon – every person matters!
All information will be kept strictly confidential and will ONLY be used by the City of Lebanon for the Special Census. Your information will not be shared, sold, rented, or given to ANY other entity or business. You will NOT receive any other solicitations or junk mail – this is strictly data to help the City of Lebanon receive the tax dollars that we are owed.
You can participate several ways:
- Fill out the online census – every person matters!
- Watch for our door hangers – they will have an easy to use form you can return with your utility bill.
- Stop by City Hall – Special Census forms are available, and can be dropped off.
- Tell your friends – make sure everyone you know is aware of the Special Census
Together we can build a better, stronger community. By using State funds we can help keep our city property tax rate low and fund our outstanding city services like garbage collection, spring clean-up, and chipper services.
Thank you for your help.
